Why we built it this way
The hard part of starting a group is finding someone to lead it.
People rarely say no because of the evening. Leading sounds like being the one who knows the most.
So every lesson comes with leader notes: how to open, three questions and why they matter, what to watch for, and how to end. Preparing means reading the lesson.
Then there is the rest of the week. The reading lands on the calendar, each prayer request stays with the person who asked, and whoever goes quiet reaches a leader. No group text was built for that.

Leaders set the gathering and attach the week’s Thread lessons, so the date, the place and the reading are on everyone’s phone before you meet.
When someone slowly stops coming, their leader hears about it, with the reason, long before it has been two months.
A prayer request belongs to the person who asked. Only they can close it.
The journal
Room for the prayers that aren’t tidy.
Lament, trust, give thanks, praise, confess, or just write, starting from a passage. Each kind of entry takes the shape the psalmists gave it.
A journal is read by the person who writes it. Nobody at your church can open one.
